Family, Food & Fun

Not much has changed around the Browning household! Other than, all of our bathrooms are finished with remodeling and we were finally able to move back upstairs after 3 1/2 months of chaos! Wahoo! What a relief to feel like finally, after moving in August, we are settled.

Here's our life in snapshots of late!

I haven't tired of my nightly sunset show, yet! Ben gets a good laugh when every night I exclaim "The sun's setting, quick, come look!" Poor guy!

I made four loaves (only 3 pictured) for a RS activity: white chocolate cranberry, plain, parmesan olive oil, and French bread. It was a whirlwind, and my white chocolate cranberry wasn't done at all in the middle, sniffle, sniffle. That's the other thing that happened--our oven got fixed and finally closes all the way, hooray!

Because Sunday mornings are better with baked toffee crunch homemade doughnuts.

It's been so fun having my sister's family live in Idaho (Idaho is much closer than Vermont)! We've been able to see them a little more than usual. We had a fun MLK day with my family in town!

I wanted to get this same luxurious ride around the kitchen; apparently, only one year olds allowed.

Such cuteness!

This doesn't look appetizing, but wow, so good! Cinnamon glazed scones! It took me back to my London Study Abroad days--so good!

We had a fun time visiting Ben's siblings in Provo! We got to play laundry hamper rides with Miss Lucy!

I've made many loaves of homemade bread over the past few years, but this by far was the best. So soft on the inside! Perfection!

We were able to babysit our niece Lucy a few weeks ago! Too much fun this little girl!

Valentine's Day  has come and gone! Ben threw in some surprises! I sure do love him. We also watched Annie at the dollar theater. It was so cute! Just expect it to be the modern, pop version and you'll be set!

Pancakes are something I've made a ton since we've been married. I can never get them just right, even with the box kind. I am a poor pancake person. Embarrassing. However, I tried this buttermilk pancake recipe, and it changed my life. The most perfect pancakes I've ever had! Mmmm.

My parents and brother came and had dinner with us one Sunday while they were in town! We loved feasting, talking, and being with them :)

I made my first triple layered cake, which happened to have a cream filling. I am pretty sure I found the perfect cake for me--not too chocolatey because the cream offsets it and oh-so-moist!

After our fun, rejuvenating 3 day weekend, we had some more fun this weekend going to the St. George home show with Ben's parents! It was so fun to get away and to do one of our favorite things: look at homes! And boy, does St. George have some unique ones. Now I know why people go all the way there to look at their Parade of Homes!

I am pretty sure almost every house we went into had a fireplace similar to this. They're the new thing!

I can't believe people have views like this. It's like they're in the middle of the desert. Because they are.

Why not build a million dollar nest themed home with eggs and butterflies everywhere?

All of the lighting features are so unique. I still am not sure how I feel about all of them.

Our weekend ended with this beautiful sunset.

Lately, we've been running around so fast trying to keep up with everything that I've been neglecting this blog. My apologies for its randomness!
